Cyclohexene oxide is a colorless liquid with slight perfume or pale yellow liquid. Melting point, -400C; boiling point,130-1320C; flash point, 270C; specific gravity (20/40C) 0.966. Miscible with grain alcohol, acetone, ehter,etc, but very hard to dissolve in water.; Volatile and flammable, but non-corrosion. Because its molecular structure has very alive epoxy group, which can produce a series of high additional value compound with amine, hydroxybenzene, alcohol, carboxylic acid,etc, then, as a raw material, it can be used in production of propargite( a kind of pesticide), high rigidity, high temperture resistant, acid-alkaline resistant unsaturated resin; new and high-efficient photosensitive coating and photosensitive adhesive; crown ether; polycarbonate; adipaldehyde,etc. In addition, cyclohexene oxide is also an important organic intermediate with strong dissolving ability, can be used in production of benzyl glycidol ether.
