5.1 Kojic acids are used in cosmetic field. Kojic acid and its derivant can restrain the formation of the melanin safely. It can remove the speckle and make the skin white. In our skin, by the catalysis of the tyrosinase, tyrosine and oxide free-radical synthesis melanin lastly after complex oxidation and polymerization. Kojic acids can restrain the generation of the tyrosinase, so it can inhibit the formation of the melanin. It also is safe, innoxious and no white spot sequela. Kojic acids have been added in astringent, Face Mask, Cleansing Milk, toothpaste, skin cream etc. white cismetic that can effectively cure flecker, senile plaque, pigmentation and acne etc. 5.2 In food handling field, kojic acids are widely used in antisepic, grease, antioxidant, and the antistaling agent of the meat and related products or aquatic products. It was proved that kojic acids can prevent the nitrous acid of bacon from translating into carcinogenic nitrous acid; moreover the addition of the kojic acids will not affect the taste, scent and quality of the food. Kojic acids also the raw materials of maltol and ethyl maltol. It have very wide field of application in food processing. 5.3 In medicine field, kojic acids are the raw materials of cephalosporin antibiotics drugs because it not only have no mutagenicity to eukaryote cells, but also can clear up the free radical of human and strengthen the power of leucocyte, which are benefit to people’s healthy. These drugs have attained very ideal result when they are used in curing headache, toothache, ease pain and diminishing inflammation. In agriculture field, kojic acids can be used to produce biological pesticide. Biofertilizers(carmine liquid) that are prepared by adding 0.5~1.0% kojic acids have obvious production increasing effect, whatever it is fertilized on leaf surface in low concentration or fertilized to root as yield increasing reagent.
