How to Make Pellets by Electric Flat Die Pellet Mill1. Insert the plug of the machine, and press the start button. The engine should start and the rollers rotate. If the rollers do not rotate, press the stop button immediately to check for fault.
2. Place a container under the pellet discharge chute.
3. Feed the raw materials into the feeding hopper and then control the speed by the handle of the feeding control tray.
4. After a short time, pellets will fall into the container. After cooling, pellets will become hard.
5. Feed the rest of the material and change the container when it is full.
6. Do not stop the machine during the pelletizing (except for emergency), otherwise the pellet machine will be clogged when restarting.
7. Stop the pellet mill by pressing the stop button.
8. Clean the pellet mill after a shift. This step is very important as if the residual raw material will stick on the roller and die when it cools completely and it is difficult to be removed.
Factors Affect Pellet Quality1. Material requirement
Moisture content: for different kinds of raw materials, the requirement on the moisture is different. Usually we require sawdust moisture content 10%-18% while mix materials evenly.
Particle size: the length of the material can not exceed the diameter of the die hole. For example, if the diameter of the die hole is 6mm, the length of the sawdust could not be longer than 6mm. Please ensure the right size of raw material according to the diameter of the die hole.
2. Gap between die and rollers
Gap between die and rollers has great influence on pellet quality. The best gap is 0.1mm - 0.3mm. This gap depends on different material. When the gap is over 0.3m, the capacity will be reduced by thick material on die. When the gap is less than 0.1mm, it will aggravate the wear of die and roller and reduce service life.
Maintenance of Electric Flat Die Pellet MillThe maintenance of our pellet mill includes lubrication and inspection & maintenance of the die and roller. Lubrication is adaptable according to time and components. Basically, lubricating oil is necessary to be added to gearbox and all bearings in gear box and other rotating parts properly before your initial operation. After three months, you can lubricate the gear box for second time. Then every six months’ lubrication is available. Inspection& maintenance of rollers and die are recommended to conduct at the same time. Every time before starting the machine, you’d better to check up whether there are any extra matters in the pelletizing room or affecting the running. Besides, both sides of the die can be used for pelletizing, which can save a lot energy and cost for you.
