The vapor injection compressor with enhanced enthalpy is a new type of compressor improved on the basis of the traditional scroll compressor. Compared with traditional compressors, it has additional special vapor injection ports, refrigerant injection channels, and related valve bodies, partition plates or flanges. During operation, the compressor absorbs the energy transferred from the evaporator through the suction port, and at the same time, introduces externally supplemented vapor from the vapor injection port. The introduced vapor mixes with the refrigerant being compressed, transforming the original single-stage compression process into a quasi two-stage compression process, thereby improving the compression efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

The advantages of the vapor injection compressor with enhanced enthalpy are as follows:

• Improving Heating/Cooling Capacity: In a low-temperature environment, the vapor injection compressor with enhanced enthalpy can effectively increase the circulation volume and displacement of the refrigerant, thereby enhancing the heating output, enabling refrigeration and heating equipment such as air conditioners to maintain good performance in low-temperature environments.

• Increasing Energy Efficiency Ratio: The refrigerant in the injection loop has a heat exchange process with the refrigerant in the main loop before entering the compressor, absorbing the heat of the refrigerant in the main loop. In the heating mode, it increases the heating capacity, and in the cooling mode, it is equivalent to increasing the cooling capacity of the evaporator, thus improving the energy efficiency ratio of the unit.

Application Fields:

• HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Field: Applying the vapor injection compressor with enhanced enthalpy in central air conditioners, household air conditioners and other equipment can effectively solve the problem of poor heating effect of ordinary air conditioners in low-temperature environments and improve the performance and energy efficiency of air conditioners.

• Air-source Heat Pump Field: The problem of heating efficiency of air-source heat pumps in low-temperature environments has always been a difficult issue in the industry. The application of the vapor injection compressor with enhanced enthalpy significantly improves the heating capacity of air-source heat pumps in low-temperature environments, enabling them to be more widely applied in regions with different climatic conditions.

The vapor injection compressor with enhanced enthalpy developed by our company adopts the two-stage throttling with intermediate vapor injection technology, realizing the enthalpy enhancement effect through a flash evaporator for gas-liquid separation. At medium and low pressures, it performs compression while injecting refrigerant for mixed cooling; at high pressures, it conducts normal compression to increase the compressor displacement, achieving the purpose of enhancing the heating capacity in low-temperature environments.

1. High Energy Efficiency Ratio: The heating energy efficiency ratio is 3.70; in an environment above -5°C, it can save more than 50% of energy compared with the PTC electric heating method.

2. Applicable to Low-Temperature Environments: It can meet the heating requirements in an environment with a temperature above -30°C, applicable to most regions.

3. Energy Saving: Compared with PTC electric heating, it has a more significant energy-saving effect, greatly improving the vehicle's cruising range.

4. High Comfort Level: Compared with the PTC water heating method, the rising speed of the outlet air temperature is faster; by using temperature control to stabilize the outlet air, the driving comfort is higher.

The electric air-conditioning system, as a key component of new energy vehicles, has made considerable progress with the technological advancement of the new energy vehicle industry.

Currently, the hot and cold (non-heat pump) air-conditioning systems heated by PTC account for the highest proportion and are the most widely applied. This solution is simple and reliable, but the biggest disadvantage of PTC heating is its low thermal efficiency. The energy consumption of the air-conditioning system accounts for about 25 - 30% of the total energy consumption of the entire electric vehicle, and the low energy efficiency of the air-conditioning system has an adverse impact on the driving range.

More and more of the automotive industry is using PTC-assisted heat pump air-conditioning systems. Due to the use of heat pump technology, the energy efficiency of heating has been improved. However, when the ambient temperature is less than -5°C, due to the increase in the specific volume of the refrigerant, the decrease in the refrigerant flow rate, the increase in the compression ratio of the compressor, and the rise in the casing temperature, the heating capacity decreases rapidly, and PTC-assisted heating must be adopted to meet the comfort requirements.

To solve the problem of insufficient heating capacity and the problem of excessively high compressor casing temperature in a low-temperature working environment, the enhanced vapor injection compressor heat pump air-conditioning system has emerged.

We have independently developed an enthalpy-enhanced heat pump system. After years of verification, we have achieved batch customers in the OEM industry. According to customer feedback, the use effect is very good. We are applying for invention patents for the enhanced vapor injection compressor and the four-way valve.

When running the system with the R134a refrigerant (evaporation temperature -15°C, temperature before the valve 35°C, superheat degree 10°C), this meets the national standard "low-temperature heat pump working condition". The heat provided by the enthalpy-enhanced air-conditioning system is three times that of the PTC heater, and the COP reaches 3.0.

In an environment of -20 to -25°C, the cruising range of pure electric vehicles has been increased by 16.7%.

We provide the entire enthalpy-enhanced heat pump system, including the enhanced vapor injection compressor, the four-way valve, and a multi-functional integrator that combines the functions of a flash evaporator, an accumulator, a filter, and an expansion valve.
